Historical films are in fashion again — be ready for the next casting!
Add this important skill to your CV!
The Happy Horses Estate is proud to present its specially developed programme for riding in front of the camera, for beginners and advanced riders!
Riding has always been a key skill for an actor, and possessing it today — with the renewed popularity of historical films and series — is more important than ever. Being confident on a horse and a competent rider will double your chances at a casting, because it is not enough simply to say that you have ridden; today's castings include auditions with horses, and they will expect you to prove it too!
- Monthly course (8 two-hour sessions over the course of one month): 350 BGN.
- 5-day intensive course*: 550 BGN (includes accommodation in a bungalow, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and twice-daily riding sessions).
Bring a fellow actor and you both get a 5% discount! For a group of three to five people — a 10% discount!
*In the intensive 5-day course we will give you the opportunity to stay near the base. This will allow you to be close to the horses, where you will best learn to care for them and spend most of the day in the saddle, in order to acquire the skills needed for riding in front of the camera!
The available facilities allow groundwork, developing a seat in a round pen, riding along a nature trail, and a rich choice of horses to fully meet the needs of both beginners and the more advanced.
If you have already been on a horse, this is an excellent opportunity to improve your riding skills and knowledge of horses; if you are an absolute beginner — to get a feel for the basics of riding and the psychology of the horse, so that you cope successfully on the film set.
Optionally, at the end of the course you will have the opportunity to have footage of your riding filmed for your showreel.
