Today and tomorrow the moon moves through the sign of Libra. As you know, it is an Air sign, which means that this is the best time to sow the seeds of flowers, or of vegetables we grow for their flowering part. Such are broccoli and cauliflower. It would not be good to sow root vegetables such as carrots and onions!
A little secret of mine: in the seed mix, besides well-sifted soil from a molehill, I also sift in an equal amount of sand — for good water permeability and drainage — rotted old log wood, for longer retention of moisture, as well as bio-fertiliser from red Californian worms, otherwise known as vermicompost, for the good health of the future seedlings. Here is where I get this "black gold":
