This is a translation of a Bulgarian-language post. It conveys the content faithfully but is not the author's original English writing.

😦 Sadly I can, but do not want to believe it… shame…

A very sad video, which I admit I could not even watch to the end, became the reason for today's post. Perhaps you will have more courage, but I could not. Here in nature, almost everything is recycled and put to use, yet I still consider myself equally responsible for what is happening. I intend to deal with my conscience in the following way:

The Happy Horses Estate will continue to do everything in its power to reduce its ecological footprint, and will devote a huge part of its activity to teaching everyone who cares — and above all the children — how we can avoid such ruinous results. For a start, these simple steps come to mind:

  1. By acquainting them with the correct way of sorting waste.
  2. By acquainting them with the option of using reusable things — sustainable things made of sustainable materials, an alternative to all the disposables.
  3. By acquainting them with the many creative ways of giving things a second life. Not only creative recycling 😃, but also upcycling 😃.
  4. By, through the personal example of what we do, infecting them with the pure love for nature and animals that we ourselves feel, and from there for the whole planet — which will instil in them a sense of respect and responsibility toward the Earth, on which we are all guests for a little while. Acquainting them with the peculiarities and requirements of the individual species in a system, and the idea that everything here — stones, plants, animals and people — is interconnected and important to one another.
