Sgledniti 2026 — a tea house in nature

Published: 2026-05-27

At the end of this month, 30 May, 31 May, and 1 June, in Ognyanovo village (Elin Pelin region, 40 km from Sofia), the festival "Sgledniti 2026" will take place — three days of living traditions, nature-aligned lifestyle, and ancestral heritage. Svilena joins with a tea house.

Tea — from the garden to the cup

Herbal teas from the permaculture garden's own plants. Mint, chamomile, lemon balm, oregano, rose hip, yarrow — every cup tells the story of the herb that was part of the garden day before reaching the fire. No off-the-shelf packets from afar, no "assortments" of unknown provenance. Only what grew here this year.

A place, not a quantity

The tea house is not a stall and not a fast-sales counter. It's a place to sit — to listen to the herb, to listen to the conversation, to slow down. Urban speed comes off cup by cup; as much as you carry, that much. No to-go cups, no take-home packets.

Prices follow the same transparent method as the perma calculator on the site — labour at the published NSI hourly rate, materials at purchase cost, VAT on the sum. No hidden arithmetic.

Why this event specifically

"Sgledniti" is a festival for people who already know tradition isn't nostalgia. It's a working way to live in nature without exhausting it — exactly the theme Svilena has carried since 2010 through the community, through nature camps for children, and through permaculture gardens built for Waldorf kindergartens, the "Green Childhood" centre, and the "Sunny Ray" private school in Plovdiv.

If we see you there — say "Svilena sent me." Ready with a cup of herbal tea and stories.
