The horo IS the society — no castes, only steps

Society is not modelled on the horo. Not analogous to the horo. Not represented by the horo. It IS the horo itself. The dance in which we all step on the same ring, just on different positions of it, and with the next beat we move our place.
The old system — a ladder of castes
In the old economy, wages are a ladder, not a ring. L1 at the base (€36/h for small labour), L5 at the top (€216/h for the specialist). On top you stay as long as you can; through the bottom you pass as quickly as possible. Whoever is "higher" is better — caste, not position.
That ladder is an invisible catechism: the waiter serves, the gardener serves, the cleaner serves, while she designs, she writes, she decides. Seven degrees of usefulness, seven degrees of dignity. Castes, not steps.
The horo — a ring with a peak, but no winners
In the horo there is step 8 — the peak. There is step 9 — the closure. There is step 1 — the base, and step 2 — the next. But no body stays at the peak. Each beat every dancer moves one place. The one who was at 8 is now at 7. The one who was at 1 is now at 2. No one is a step — each one passes through every step, because the ring turns.
This is not a metaphor. This is the mathematics of Rodin's harmonic sequence: 1 → 2 → 4 → 8 → 7 → 5 → 1. Seven discrete positions, each adjacent to the next, and after the seventh — back at the first. A closed cycle.

The ascent is GROWTH. The descent is HARVEST. No one is "up" or "down" forever.
Why this is politics, not philosophy
This solves three practical problems, not theoretical ones.
1. Wages. In the horo of svilena.me the minimum rate is €7.73/h (NSI Bulgaria) — the same for everyone, small work by hand or knowledge work of the mind. The harmonic €36–€216/h is not a hierarchy — it is an instrument of service, identified in services.js, and applied only where knowledge-work demands it. A cup of herbal tea at the tea house is poured at €7.73/h; garden design walks through five harmonic steps. No one evaluates people by tariff; the content of the moment is evaluated.
2. Donation. Every donation to svilena.me is voluntary — not a fee, on the ring at step 1 (pure gift) or step 7 (reciprocal support of ageing). You do not pay for a service you did not ask for; you decide to throw a step back into the arc that has run you ragged. The price does not depend on your quality as a customer. 3. Caste. We never say "this is an L5 activity". We say "this activity IS step 8 of the services horo". The difference is: step is a position in the dance that the next beat will release. Caste is a status that does not release. On the ring there is no caste.

Each one is a position, not a representation of a position. When you choose a cup of herbal tea at the tea house — you have literally made step 4 (preparation) × step 8 (the home) × step 4 (the guest's choice). That composition is mathematically closed on the ring (the set {1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9} is closed under multiplication mod 9), so any pair of steps always yields a third on the same ring.
What is asked of you
Nothing. And everything.
Nothing, because you are already in the horo — just being a living body on this planet you are already dancing a step of the ring. You cannot not dance.
Everything, because you can choose which beat you pass through consciously. You can decide whether your time at step 8 (the peak — product, culmination, home) serves the cycle or blocks it. You can pass through 9 (the closure) with cleared debts or with accumulated unsettlements. You can return to step 1 (unity, the base) with empty hands or with a bag of seed.
This is the work of a society that IS the horo: each beat to pass consciously, because the ring is alive only if every dancer listens to their neighbours.
